On July 16, 2001, <br />the City approved the issuance of an additional $41,910 tax increment revenue anticipation note to construct <br />certain public improvements for the New Olive East project, for a total of $2,509,188. Interest on the notes is <br />payable semi-annually on March I and September 1 beginning in the year 2001, with a final ~naturity date of <br />March 1, 2009. The notes and interest thereon are special limited obligations of the City, payable solely from <br />payments in lieu of taxes attributable to the increase in assessed value of real property, incremental increases in <br />economic activity taxes in the project area and monies on deposit in the City's Special Allocation Fund. The <br />notes do not constitute a general obligation of the City. <br /> <br />History of Debt Payment <br /> <br />The City has never defaulted on any indebtedness. <br /> <br />SALES AND PROPERTY TAX INFORMATION <br /> <br />Local Park Sales Tax <br /> <br /> In November 2001, the City passed a one-quarter cent local park sales tax that went into effect in April <br />2002. In November 2002, the City increased the local park sale tax by an additional quarter-cent that went into <br />effect in April 2003.
