A copy of the update is <br />attached for your review. <br /> <br /> <br />University City School <br />With the understanding that it is at an important crossroad, the <br />District <br /> will hold a series of public meetings to work toward one goal: significantly <br />improving the performance of its students. The entire community is invited to <br />Community Engagement Meetings, <br />participate. Through the course of several <br />attendees will explore the facts and propose specific viable options and choices to <br />improve the District. All University Citians have a stake in the Public Schools-whether <br />you have children in the district or not- and should participate in this process. The <br />health of our City depends on the health of our Public Schools. The first of six meetings <br />Tuesday, July 15 <br />(with repeat sessions on the weekends) will occur on from 6:30 to <br />nd <br />repeat <br />8:30 pm at Barbara C. Jordan Elementary, 1500 N. 82 Blvd. The of the <br />Saturday, July 19 <br />session will occur on from 9:30 to 11:30 am at Julia Goldstein Early <br />Child Center, 727 Kingsland Ave. Attendees will cover all topics from where we are <br />today, to class size, to the facilities, to student performance, to the racial composition of <br />staff, to finances.
