<br />RESOLUTION 2008 - 4 <br /> <br />The matter of establishing a neighborhood improvement district in University <br />Heights Subdivision Number One was considered. <br /> <br />After a review and general discussion ofthe matter, Councilmember Glickert <br />offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of University City, Missouri, <br />finds and declares as follows: <br /> <br />1. University Heights Subdivision Number One (the "Subdivision") is a subdivision <br />in the City of University City, Missouri. <br /> <br />2. On January 3, 2008, a proper petition for the creation of a neighborhood <br />improvement district within the Subdivision was filed with the City Clerk. <br /> <br />3. The petition was signed by the owners ofrecord of at least two-thirds (2/3) by <br />area of all real property located within the proposed neighborhood improvement <br />district. <br /> <br />4. The project name for the proposed improvement is the "University Heights Street <br />Improvement Project". <br /> <br />5. The general nature of the proposed improvement is the repair and replacement of <br />driveway aprons and sidewalks that are significantly damaged, non-functional or <br />exhibit more than minor cracks, and selected street patching repair and <br />resurfacing according to the University City Public Works Department's <br />specifications and design standards for public property of that nature. <br /> <br />6. The proposed improvement may also include, but is not limited to, the repair and <br />replacement of non- functional curb and gutters, and repaving the bridge and <br />sidewalk beyond the Harvard/Dartmouth intersection. <br /> <br />7. The total estimated cost of the proposed improvement is $425,000. <br /> <br />8. The boundaries of the proposed neighborhood improvement district to be assessed <br />are as indicated on the attached plat marked "Exhibit A" and incorporated herein <br />by reference. The legal description of the proposed neighborhood improvement <br />district is as follows: <br /> <br />All of Lot 10 and the western 12.28 acres of Lot 9 of the subdivision of Eliza <br />Clemens Estate, in United States Survey Number 378; also all of Lot 16 of <br />Clemens extension of Olive Street Addition in said United States Survey Number <br />
