Here are some great volunteer opportunities; some are long term, some <br />short term. Did you know that volunteering makes people happier? So, let’s keep U <br />City the great place it is: volunteer a bit of your time to: <br /> <br />On Saturday, August 2 <br /> <br />- <br />University City School District Back to School Rally <br />from 10 am to 2 pm the District will hold its 2 Annual Back to School Rally at <br />nd <br />Jackson Park School. There will be free immunizations, haircuts, book bags, and <br />school supplies. You can register your child or find out how to go about doing it. <br />The City will have information on recycling and the importance to the <br />community. Currently the District is in need of volunteers and donations. <br />Please contact Clay Ware at 290-4051. It’s Your District, your schools. <br /> <br />The Green Center has <br />The Green Center: Care for Your Community <br /> ! <br /> <br /> <br />volunteer opportunities to suit all interests, whether you prefer indoor or <br />outdoor work. At present, we are looking for individuals willing to organize our <br />archives, assist with marketing or community outreach, and serve as Volunteer <br />Educators during our summer youth programming. Restoration activities, <br />including invasive species removal, native plant propagation, weeding, and <br />watering occur throughout the year. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are <br />always appreciated at The Green Center!
