RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a general election was held in the City of University City, Missouri on <br />Tuesday, February 3, 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said election was conducted according to the laws of the State of Missouri, <br />the City Charter and Ordinances of the City of University City, and the rules and regulations <br />promulgated by the Board of Election Commissioners of St. Louis County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following propositions were presented to the voters, as shown: <br /> <br />Proposition S <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IX, Section of the City Charter, the election returns <br />shall be canvassed by the City Council at a meeting not later than forty-eight hours after their <br />receipt by the City Clerk, and that Proposition S receiving a simple majority to pass, and <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the laws of the State of Missouri, the City Charter, and <br />the Ordinances of the City of University City, and the rules and regulations promulgated by the <br />Board of Election Commissioners of St. Louis County, the City Council of University City, at a <br />meeting held on February 23, 2004, at 7:30 p.m., upon the certification of the returns by the <br />Board of Election Commissioners of St. Louis County from the forty-five precincts in the City of <br />University City, and upon certification by the City Clerk of the results of said election held <br />Tuesday, February 3, 2004, in the City of University City, and as canvassed by the Council of <br />said returns of said election, and it appearing that the votes received are as follows: <br /> <br />Number of Votes PASS <br /> <br />Proposition S YES 3,522 <br /> NO 1,778 YES <br /> <br /> BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Proposition S appears to have received the simple <br />majority necessary to be declared passed. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 23rd day of February, 200~-~~~____~__.~ <br /> ~'X~lxh, lh a~oAr dams <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
