Mr. Wagner asked how many scales the City had and he was told twenty-eight, each <br />having six steps. He also inquired as to where the reviews were kept and Ms. Williams <br />said they were in her office. Mr. Wagner stated that the Civil Service Board minutes or <br />report needed to be presented to the Council. <br />Ms. Williams stated that an employee will sometimes be reclassified according to the <br />level of responsibilities for the job being performed or to keep in line with the outside <br />demand. An employee could have topped out at a present classification but could be <br />reclassified at a higher level and back into the step increases. The Department Director <br />requests the re-classifications and submits it to Human Resource for approval. <br />Ms. Feier said there will be a three hour study session on September 15 to discuss <br />classifications and benefits. <br />Ms. Williams stated that her department does a global comparison of other <br />Municipalities in determining the salary range for each classification. <br />Ms. Feier stated the Administrative Regulations will have employee benefits integrated <br />into it. <br />Time limit prevented discussion on Council Rules on their car mileage allowance. <br />Joyce Pumm <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />
