Single Stream Recycling Vendor Contract <br />There were three bids received with recommendation to accept Smurfit Stone bid <br />for estimated annual revenue of $83,025 for recyclable material. Their bid <br />offered, provided the highest value on recyclable material delivered. <br /> <br />3. Annual Order – Office Supplies. <br />In June 2005, Corporate Express was awarded a two-year contract with two one- <br />year option years. The contract is in its first option year and is recommended for <br />approval for $60,100. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci asked if the amount awarded was paid up front or as used. City <br />Manager said it was paid as used. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe, Jr. moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Price and was approved <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />I. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br />1. Conditional use permit amendment for dormitory expansion <br />The Good Shepherd Children and Family Services facility at 1340 Partridge <br />asked to expand existing services to include the addition of eight <br />pregnant/parenting teens and their infant children. No new construction would be <br />involved. Planning Staff and Plan Commission recommended approval with a <br />condition putting a cap on the expansion. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved to approve, seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. and was approved <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />J. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />1. Bill 8995 – An ordinance amending Chapter 10.44 of the University City <br />Municipal Code, relating to parking restrictions on specific streets, by repealing <br />Section 10.44.040 thereof, relating to one-hour parking zones, and enacting in <br />lieu thereof a new section to be known as “Section 10.44.040 One-hour Parking <br />Zones,” thereby amending said section so as to remove Forsyth Blvd. the north <br />side thereof, from the east line of Lindell Blvd. to a point sixty (60) feet east <br />thereof, containing a saving clause and providing a penalty. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved for approval and was seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />AYES: Mr. Price, Ms. Ricci, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Sharpe, Jr., and Mayor Adams <br />NAYS: none <br /> <br />2.
