To: Honorable Mayor Adams and City Council <br />From: Julie Feier, City Manager <br />Date: October 6, 2008 <br />Subject: City Manager’s Report <br />1. Liquor License Application for Food for Less, a supermarket at 8020 A <br />Olive Blvd., the applicant has applied for a liquor license to sell intoxicating <br />liquor of all kinds, by the package, retail and for Sunday sales. The <br />location previously held a liquor license with no problems and the <br />applicant is the owner of the grocery store. No disqualifying information <br />was identified during his background check. The applicant has owned the <br />supermarket since March, 2008. <br />2. Conditional Use Permit 941 Midland: Zone District LC requesting use as a <br />coffee house/chocolate shop. Attached is the application form and related <br />documents for the proposed restaurant to go in at 941 Midland (southwest <br />corner of Midland and Balson). It will be a coffee house and chocolate <br />shop. Community Development Staff and Plan Commission recommend <br />approval (with conditions). This agenda item does not require a public <br />hearing at the City Council level but requires a motion by Council to <br />approve with conditions. <br />3. I.T. Strategic Plan Review, continue from study session if necessary. <br />4.
