This study has been
going on for over ten years. We provided our final funding allocation via MSD in 2007.
Senator McCaskill provided the allocation for Corp funding. The Corp is a large
regimented organization that requires multiple layers of review and congressional action
for annual funding. The earliest we could expect assistance from the Corp on their plan,
assuming it moves swiftly and is approved, would be 2012. FEMA provides individual
support and in some cases, buy-out if a home received more than a 50% loss.

The New City Fellowship and Americorp volunteers continue to work with
uninsured flood victims.
