Since property is being sold as is and therefore not notified that land is on flood <br />plain, could purchaser be told the need for flood insurance when applying for <br />occupancy permit. <br />2. Would like to have names of residents that have not moved back yet. <br />3. Asked City Manager about 2007 McCaskill buyout Corp study. <br />4. Why does the Corp of Engineers’ studies keep changing in its recommendations. <br />5. Requested a list of what flood victims feel are their biggest hurdle. <br />6. Requested another Council meeting before the six week moratorium is lifted and <br />board-ups or demolitions are ordered. <br />7. Would like the City Manager to supply list of names and addresses of where stories <br />and requests can be sent to lobby for assistance. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert’s question: <br />1. Asked the City Manager to initiate some Community Fund Raisers to aide the flood <br />victims. <br /> <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr.’s questions: <br />1. Asked City Manager about hearing that whoever had the property touching their <br />property and they did any sort of work on the channel, they would then be <br />responsible for it. City Manager said that it is MSD’s responsibility only. <br />2. Verified that if flood victims get on list with the Community Development Department <br />they would work with the victims. <br /> <br />Mayor Joseph Adams’ question: <br />1. Asked about the possibility of having a device on the bridge that would send an <br />alarm when the water rose to that height. Director Ms. Shields-Benford would <br />investigate this. <br /> <br />Ms. Feier stated that MSD is presently out accessing the damage and would have a report <br />th <br />to the City by October 13 which would be in time for the October 27 Council meeting. Ms. <br />Feier passed out a list of all the condemned Properties as of September 29, 2008.
