<br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />September 22, 2008 <br /> <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of the <br />City Hall, on Monday, September 22, 2008, Mayor Adams called the meeting to order at <br />6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br />Mr. Wagner had an excused absence. <br />Also in attendance were City Manager Julie Feier and City Attorney John Mulligan. <br /> <br />C. PROCLAMATION <br />Mayor Adams called for a moment of silence for the loss of life of two residents during <br />the flash flood. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert introduced the proclamation given in appreciation of all the individuals <br />and agencies assisting with the flash flood in University City. <br /> <br />D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. August 25, 2008, Regular Council session minutes as amended were moved for <br />approval by Mr. Sharpe, Jr., seconded by Mr. Glickert and were approved <br />unanimously. <br />2. August 25, 2008, Study session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. Price <br />seconded by Mr. Glickert and were approved unanimously. <br /> <br />E. APPOINTMENTS <br />1. Diane Davenport was nominated to the Arts & Letters Commission by Ms. Ricci, <br />seconded by Mr. Price and was approved unanimously. <br />2. Christopher Smith to the Historic Preservation Commission by Mr. Crow, <br />seconded by Mr. Glickert and was approved unanimously. <br />3. Stephen Myers to the Historic Preservation Commission by Mr. Glickert, <br />seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. and was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />F. SWEARING IN <br />Janet Adams was sworn in to the Civil Service Board. <br /> <br />G. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br /> <br />H. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />I. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br />1. Declaration of Emergency <br />Ms. Feier explained what the City had done in response to the flash flood of <br />September 14. She thank the Police and Fire Department in their dedicated <br />effort in assisting the flood victims, Metro for supplying transportation, Red Cross <br /> <br />
