<br />Council Agenda Item Cover <br />___________________________________________________________ <br />MEETING DATE: <br /> October 27, 2007 <br />AGENDA ITEM TITLE: <br />Items from the Traffic Commission Meeting on <br />September 10, 2008 and October 8, 2008 <br />AGENDA SECTION: <br /> New Business <br />CAN THIS ITEM BE RESCHEDULED? : <br />Yes <br />BACKGROUND REVIEW: <br />The Traffic Commissioners recommended that the following items be approved <br />by the City Council: <br />1. Designate a four-way stop at the intersection of Purcell Ave at Julian Ave. <br />2. Restrict parking in the alley behind businesses in the 8400 and 8500 <br />blocks of Olive Blvd to one hour each day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., <br />Monday thru Saturday starting at a point 580 feet from Coolidge drive for a <br />distance of 175 feet to the west. <br />3. Temporarily restrict Golf Course parking on the south side of Groby from <br />Old Bonhomme Rd. to Tulane Ave. The restriction shall apply 24 hours; <br />every day of the week and shall be effective beginning October 9, 2008 <br />and shall not exceed twelve (12) months at which time a recommendation <br />will be given to continue the restriction permanently, modify the restriction <br />or implement a residential permit parking system. <br />Please find attached the minutes of the traffic commission meetings from <br />October and September and the ordinances for each of the recommended items. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department that the attached <br />ordinances be approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />
