<br />BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR UNIVERSITY CITY PENSION PLAN <br />MINUTES OF MEETING <br /> <br />Non- <br />July 24, 2018 <br /> <br />A meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order by acclamation at 7:41 p.m. at the <br />Heman Park Community Center 975 Pennsylvania Ave, University City, MO. <br /> <br />Members in Attendance: Frank Reedy, Edward McCarthy, Thomas Jennings, Juli Niemann <br />James Stutz, Ewald Winker, non-votingGregory Rose and Steve <br />McMahon <br /> <br />Member(s) Absent: Holston Black <br /> <br />Member(s) Excused: Patrick Wall <br /> <br />Others in Attendance: Brian Isenberg Police & Fire Board member <br />Joel Myers Police & Fire Board member <br />Kara Krawzik Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C <br /> Tina Charumilind Treasurer <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Chairman Reedy called for an approval of the minutes from the May 22, 2018, including this <br />new motion by Member Rose. Minutes were motioned by Member Jennings, seconded and <br />approved with unanimous consent. <br /> <br />Disbursement Approval <br />Chairman Reedy announced that we need to look at the disbursements for a sense of <br />reasonableness and repetition, especially beneficiary payments and expense payments to make <br />sure we are complying with all the payments that are chargeable to our plan. Disbursements <br />were motioned by Member Stutz, seconded and approved with unanimous consent. <br /> <br />New Member Applications <br /> Informational <br />Jeffrey Bextermueller Community Development <br />Austin Black Recreational Supervisor for Parks and Recreation <br /> <br />Approval of Retirements <br />Linda Garnett, Lead Dispatcher with the police department had not received her calculation <br />from actuary yet. Will approve at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Other Matters <br /> <br />Member Stutz suggested the fund needed to diversify the asset base to include large cap <br />growth, lower the management fees, decrease exposure to a singular fund manager, and <br /> <br /> <br />
