<br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />August 25, 2008 <br /> <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of the <br />City Hall, on Monday, August 25, 2008, Mayor Adams called the meeting to order at <br />6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were City Manager Julie Feier and City Attorney John Mulligan. <br /> <br />D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. July 21, 2008, Regular Council session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Wagner, seconded by Mr. Glickert and were approved unanimously. <br />2. July 21, 2008, Study session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. Sharpe <br />seconded by Mr. Crow and were approved unanimously. <br />3. August 4, 2008, Special session minutes as amended were moved for approval <br />by Mr. Price, seconded by Mr. Crow and were approved unanimously. <br /> <br />E. APPOINTMENTS <br />Green Practice Committee <br />1. Donna Leach-Heimos was nominated for the Green Practice Committee by Mr. <br />Glickert, seconded by Mr. Wagner and was approved unanimously. <br />2. Janet Adams was nominated for the Civil Service Board by Lynn Ricci, seconded <br />by Mr. Wagner and was approved unanimously. <br />3. Phyllis Weber was nominated for the Civil Service Board by Mr. Wagner, <br />seconded by Mr. Crow and was approved unanimously. <br />4. James Carr was nominate for the Board of Trustees Retirement Fund by Mr. <br />Glickert, seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. and was approved unanimously <br /> <br />F. SWEARING IN <br />Kyle Walker was sworn in to the Library Board <br /> <br />G. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />1. Neighborhood Improvement District (NID) University Heights Number One public <br />hearing was opened at 6:40 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZENS COMMENTS <br />David Damick, 6933 Cornell <br />Mr. Damick stated that he tried to get repairs made for his driveway aprons for <br />many years but either did not receive any response or received an unsatisfactory <br />job, so he had it done on his own. Now he is being assessed for something he <br />already had done at his expense and is not receiving any credit for it. <br /> <br /> <br />
