It has one of the oldest recognized <br />forestry departments in the country and has been recognized as a Tree City USA by the <br />National Arbor Day and Missouri Department of Conservation for over 25 years. The city is <br />identified, in large part, by its tree-lined streets. <br />Recently, the city has started the process of developing an Urban Forest Operations <br />Review and Strategic Plan.
