<br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 26, 2009 <br /> <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of the <br />City Hall, on Monday, January 26, 2009, Mayor Adams called the meeting to order at <br />6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were City Manager Julie Feier and City Attorney John Mulligan. <br /> <br />C. PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. December 08, 2008, Regular Session minutes as amended were moved for <br />approval by Mr. Sharpe, and were approved by the majority with NAY votes from <br />Mr. Glickert and Ms. Ricci. <br /> <br />2. January 05, 2009, Study Session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Sharpe and were approved by the majority with one NAY vote from Mr. Price. <br />Mr. Price stated that he only recalled one option concerning the non-uniform <br />pension plan which was changing to a defined contribution pension plan for new <br />employees only. Council had not decided on any options at the study session. <br />Discussion had been to give University City’s Pension Board the freedom to look <br />at any options possible and come back to Council with what they collectively <br />would offer as their findings. <br /> <br />Mr. Price asked the record to reflect that he is against anything that will affect any <br />current pension of any employee in the system now. <br /> <br />3. January 05, 2009, Study session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Sharpe, and were approved unanimously. <br /> <br />E. APPOINTMENTS <br />1. Adelia Parker-Castro and Barbara Santoro were moved for reappointed to the <br /> Arts and Letters Commission by Mr. Crow and were approved unanimously. <br />2. Patricia Hayes to the Arts and Letters Commission was moved for appointment <br /> by Mr. Wagner and was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />F. SWEARING IN <br />The Loop Special Business Commission were sworn in at Blueberry Hill before their <br />monthly meeting on January 13, 2009. The Commission members sworn in were <br />Shawn Jacobs, Eleanor Ruder, Mondi Ghasedi, Bob Gunthner, Mike Hobbs, Angela <br />Fitzgerald, Nora Vandivort, Jessica Bueler and Joe Edwards. <br /> <br /> <br />
