Session 1912 <br />February 23 2004 <br /> <br />OATHS <br /> <br />Bob Winters, 7242 Colgate Avenue, took the oath of office to serve on the Municipal <br />Commission on Arts and Letters, for a term ending January 2, 2007. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams thanked Mr. Winters for his service and commitment to the City of <br />University City. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION- To Establish the Centennial Hikinq/Bikin.q Trail <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch introduced a resolution for adoption of the University City Hike/Bike Trail <br />System Plan, dated January 2004, as the official plan for the University City portion of <br />this Centennial Trail System. Now the City Manager or his designated representative is <br />authorized to apply for grants or other funding to County, Regional, State, and Federal <br />foundations and other appropriate sources. <br /> <br />The resolution was passed by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - Certification of February Election Results <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt introduced a resolution, upon official notice from the County of Saint Louis, <br />that Proposition S received the simple majority necessary to be declared passed, with a <br />total of 3,522 votes in favor, and 1,778 votes against. <br /> <br />The resolution was passed by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />VERBAL RESOLUTION - To Support the University City School District on the <br />matter of Proposition B <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman spoke on behalf of the City Council when he suggested it was <br />appropriate for the Council to resolve this evening to support the University City School <br />District Proposition B, the no tax rate increase, to appear on the ballot on April 6, 2004. <br />Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #1 - The Consent Calendar <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended approval of the Consent Calendar which includes: <br /> <br />West Kin,qsbury Overlay and Drain <br /> <br />The tabulation of bid proposals for the above named project is as follows: <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
