RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a general election was held in the City of University City, Missouri on <br />Tuesday, April 6, 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said election was conducted according to the laws of the State of Missouri, <br />the City Charter and Ordinances of the City of University City, and the rules and regulations <br />promulgated by the Board of Election Commissioners of St. Louis County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following were candidates for the respective office as shown: <br /> <br />Larry Lieberman <br />Stefany Brot <br />William K. Meehan <br /> <br />Councilmember, First Ward (Four Year) <br /> <br />Francine Brungardt <br />Gloria Nickerson <br /> <br />Councilmember, Second Ward (Four Year) <br /> <br />Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Councilmember, Third Ward (Four Year) <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IX, Section of the City Charter, the election returns <br />shall be canvassed by the City Council at a meeting not later than forty-eight hours after their <br />receipt by the City Clerk, and the candidates receiving the highest number of votes for each <br />office be declared elected, and <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the laws of the State of Missouri, the City Charter, and <br />the Ordinances of the City of University City, and the rules and regulations promulgated by the <br />Board of Election Commissioners of St. Louis County, the City Council of University City, at a <br />meeting held on April 19, 2004, at 7:30 p.m., upon the certification of the returns by the Board of <br />Election Commissioners of St. Louis County from the forty-five precincts in the City of <br />University City, and upon certification by the City Clerk of the results of said election held <br />Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in the City of University City, and as canvassed by the Council of said <br />returns of said election, and it appearing that the votes received are as follows: <br /> <br />Number of Votes <br /> <br />Larry Lieberman Councilmember, First Ward 586 <br />Stefany Brot 793 <br />William K.
