Session 1929 <br />July 12, 2004 <br /> <br />COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />Richard Dockett, 6844 Crest Avenue, came to invite the City Council and City <br />employees and the public to a follow-up meeting about the progress report of the <br />Police Department responding to citizens' concerns. The meeting will be <br />Thursday, July 29, 2004 at Heman Park Center from 7-9 P.M. <br /> <br />BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READING: <br /> <br />BILL 8719 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER AND EXECUTE <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MISSOURI HIGHWAYS AND TRANSPORTATION <br />COMMISlON WHICH AUTHORIZES THE CITY TO REMOVE AND REPLACE <br />PRUDUE AVENUE VEHICULAR BRIDGE WITH A PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt moved adoption and Ms. Brungardt seconded. The roll call vote was as <br />follows: AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Ms. Brungardt, Mr. Wagner, Ms. Brot, and Mayor Adams; <br />NAYS: Mr. Sharpe. Bill number 8719 passed and became Ordinance 6487. <br /> <br />2. BILL 8720 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2.64 OF THE CITY CODE <br />RELATING TO THE NONUNIFORMED EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM BY <br />REPEALING AND ENACTING A NEW SECTION 2.64.070 SO AS TO PROVIDE A <br />REVISED METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE CITY MANAGER'S CREDITABLE <br />SERVICE. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved adoption and Ms. Brungardt seconded. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner asked if issues discussed in a previous Study Session were reflected <br />in this Bill and was advised they were. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Ms. Brungardt, Mr. Wagner, Ms. Brot, <br />Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt and Mayor Adams; NAYS: none.
