Councilman Soule inquired of the City Manager whether there is anything definite as to what the State is going to do with Olive Street Road and said he believes this would make some difference in some instances -- specifically at this time the corner lots of Meyer and Olive. The City Manaser said the latest word appears to be that the State is planning to build the first leg up to Midland and consider University City to be in pretty fair shape from Midland to Ferguson and therefore they have reduced priority on this section. Upon inquiry by Mayor Kaufman whether any other member of the public de- sired to be heard on the subject of proposed improvement of Meyer Street, there was no response. The Mayor declared the public hearing concluded at 11:30 o'clock P,M. PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF /~ERH AVENUE FROM EAST LINE OF NORTH AND SOUTH ROAD TO THE WEST LINE OF HA~EY ROAD: Councilman Tandler requested that an appropriate bill be prepared by the administrative forces for consideration of the Council with reference to proposed improvement of Ahern Avenue from east line of North and South Road to the west line of Hanley Road. APPLICATION OF KING KAR WASH FOR A CONDITIONC~ USE PERMIT: Councilman Lahrmann stated that at the meeting of the Council on January 18, 1960, a public hearing was scheduled for February 1, 1960, to consider application of Mr. Jacob Rudin for a conditional use permit for a gasoline dispensing service station at King Kar Wash, 8304 Olive Boulevard. Council- man Lai~rmann said he understands that material changes have taken place since this matter was presented to the City Plan Commission -- in other words~ the applicant has acquired the 50-foot lot to the east of the present car wash, and he contemplates using the east side for his drive to enter the car wash. Councilman Lahrmann said a matter such as that materially alters the original application, and he is wondering whether the Council should suggest that the applicant resubmit it to the City Plan Commission giving the new basis~ or whether the Council should consider it as it is. l.~ayor Kaufman said that for the purpose of the record he thinks that the petitioner ought to come before the Council and make a specific recommenda- tion or make a request. The Mayor said that as a matter of procedure~ if it is before the Council on the record and a hearing was set for February 1st, the petitioner should come in on February !st and make his presenta- tion. ~d3JOUPJNMENT: On motion of Councilman Greeson, seconded by Councilman Soule, and unani- mously carried, the meeti:~g adjourned at 11:38 o'clock P.M.
