The City ~anager said the <br />City is being asked to adopt this Resolution as drafted and apparently the <br />City will receive money in due time. <br /> <br />Councilman Lieberman stated that the letter which had been sent to I~yor <br />Kaufman, dated June 9, 1975 from the St. Louis Area Office of I-~D, (copies <br />of which had been sent to members of the Council) is not clear to him, and <br />he would appreciate having a run do~,m by the administration as he is interest- <br />ed in how the administration interprets the letter. <br /> <br />~s. l~rgo Decker, Assistant Director of Planning, was invited to comment. <br />She said she believes that the City is under pressure to include subsidized <br />existing housing during the first year of the Community Development Act <br />Program. <br /> <br />Councilman Lieberman moved adoption of the Resolution. Motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Grimm and unanimously carried. A copy of the Resolution is <br />attached hereto and made a part of the record. <br /> <br />STOP SI~,] - JACKSON: <br />Councilman Adams stated that the Traffic Commission had submitted a recom- <br />mendation to the Council dated December 19, 1974 with regard to the matter <br />of a Stop Sign on Jackson. He said it appears that no action has been taken <br />up to this time, and he suggested that this should be brought to a conclu- <br />sion. The City Manager will check into this. <br /> <br />PROPOSED BUDGET: <br />The City ~.~nager said that l!r. Ellman has submitted some sheets on the Bud- <br />get which bring some things up to date and some specific recommendations <br />(most of which he, the City I~nager concurs in); however, there are still <br />estimates on revenues that the administration is not at all certain about <br />and will be getting the information this week. ~ said the Council has <br />very out-of-date information as to what the current fiscal year ending deficit <br />will be because many things were purchased out of the current budget which <br />had not been anticipated.
