RESOLUTION No. ©qt~ <br /> <br />After review and general discussion of the matter, Councilmember <br />offered the following Resolution and moved its adoption. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING COUNCILMEMBERS BE APPOINTED TO THE <br /> UNIVERSITY CITY TIF COMMISSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Missouri Statute Sec. 99.820 stipulates that all municipalities shall create a <br />TIF Commission, with six members appointed by the Mayor with approval of a majority <br />of City Council, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council is intent on energizing the redevelopment process in our city, <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, currently our TIF Commission has one vacancy, and two others with terms <br />expiring in August 2004, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council discussed at length on June 21, 2004 the benefits of appointing <br />some Councilmembers to the TIF Commission in order to better represent and coordinate <br />the redevelopment initiatives of the Council, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Council requests the Mayor to appoint <br />three Councilmembers, one from each ward, to the TIF Commission, filling any current <br />vacancies, and openings occurring when the next terms expire in August 2004.
