RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING A COUNCILMEMBER SERVE AS MAYOR <br />PRO TEMPORE UNTIL APRIL 2006. <br /> <br /> After review and general discussion of the matter, Councilmember Sharpe offered <br />the following resolution and moved its adoption. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 8 of the Charter of the City of University City (Charter) <br />provides that the City Council shall choose one of its members as mayor pro tempore, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mayor is absent from time to time or otherwise unable to attend to <br />his duties as provided for by the Charter, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the interest of good government and the citizens of University <br />City to have designated a mayor pro tempore in advance, and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of <br />University City hereby designates <br /> <br /> ROBERT WAGNER <br /> <br />a Councilmember, as mayor pro tempore, to serve in such capacity until April, 2006. <br /> <br /> Motion seconded by Councilmember Brot and carried. <br /> <br />Adopted this 17th day of May, 2004. <br /> <br />I hereby certify that the above is a true excerpt from the minutes of the meeting of the City <br />Council held on the 26th day of July, 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />
