Session 1724, Minutes
May 18, 1998

16

The bill was given its first reading and assigned Bill No. 8387.

Mr. Munkel asked the City Manager why this bill was being introduced now when the
construction had not been started yet. Mr. Ollendorff said that after the site plan
approval was given by the City, it was submitted to the County and State. The County
is making these additional requirements. To be enforceable, the restriction has to be
adopted by the County Council and our City Council.

ADDITIONAL CITIZEN COMMENTS:

Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel, suggested that a cork bulletin board be installed by the
entrance of the Council Chamber so that a copy of the agenda and docket could be
posted. There was a large crowd of people tonight, which is very hard to anticipate and
sometimes the copies of these documents run out. A copy posted on this bulletin board
would allow people to see what was scheduled to be discussed, just in case the
provided copies of these documents ran out. She also requested that the pool be
opened at 6:00 a.m. instead of the 6:30 a.m. opening. She said that working people
need the eadier time. She says this eadier time is instituted in the winter time, but it
should remain year round.

Mayor Adams directed the City Manager to look into the flower box and get U City in
Bloom to possibly plant some flowers in it.

EXECUTIVE SESSION:

Mr. Munkel moved that Council meet in executive session at 9:10 p.m. in the Mayor's
Office on the second floor of City Hall to discuss personnel issues.
