<br />SESSICl'f 1544 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />MINUl'ES OF '!HE UNIVERSITY CITY CXXJNCIL <br /> <br />May 20, 1991 <br /> <br />At a regular meetirg of the city Council of University city held in the As- <br />sembly Room of City Hall on Monday, May 20, 1991, Mayor Janet Majerus presid- <br />ed and called the meetirg to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, <br />the followirg members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Byron R. Price <br />Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mr. RobertG. Wagner <br />Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br />Mr. PaulE.Schoamer <br />Mrs. Betty L. 'Ihc:lltpSOI1 <br /> <br />Also present was city Manager Frank OlleIrlorff. <br /> <br />MINUl'ES <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner noved approval of the May 6, 1991 minutes as submitted. Mr. Price <br />secon::led the motion, which carried unani.m:>usly. <br /> <br />0A'lH OF OFFICE <br /> <br />Ms. Patricia Perryman, a recent appointee to the Historic PreseJ:vation Com- <br />mission, was given the oath of office by the City Clerk. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus thclnked Ms. Perryman for her willi.rx]ness to seJ:.Ve on this com- <br />mission, notin:J that the City's heritage is very inp::>rtant to every citizen. <br /> <br />ANNOONCEMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus said the week of May 19-25 is National Public Works Week, and <br />the City was very proud of its employees. Several activities are planned-- <br />an equipment rodeo at Pershing School and a tour of the transfer station and <br />compostirg site. Also, an 8 minute video entitled ''Who Takes Care of Univer- <br />sity City" is available for public viewirg. <br /> <br />CITY 'MANM;F.R' S REroRI'S <br /> <br />FUBLIC HEARING - 1991-92 mrx:;EI' <br /> <br />'!he City Manager said a public hearirg was scheduled for this time and place <br />on the proposed 1991-92 City budget so that citizens may present their advice <br />and connnents to the City Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus opened the public hearirg at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Timothy Hepler, 1069 N. Hanley, said a i:'ecent citizen Jow:nal article de- <br />scribed a propose'1l made durirg budget discussions that would reduce the tax <br />rate for the uniformed. employees pension plan.
