Mr. Adams secorxied the motion. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schuman asked Mr. Adams, Historic Preservation Conunission liaison, to <br />cormnent. He said Connnission members felt the Austin Tao staff would be IOClre <br />beneficial to the plan. Mr. Olleoo.orff said another reason is that Austin <br />Tao is a University city resident who has worked in the city and who may be <br />IOClre familiar with the conununity. Mayor Majerus said he also helped create <br />the Master Plan for the Civic Center area. <br /> <br />All voted Aye. <br /> <br />CONDITIONAL USE - NORIHWFST CORNER OLIVE/HAFNER <br /> <br />'!he city Manager concurred with the Plan Connnission and staff recommendation <br />that use of the fonner carry-out restaurant at 8107 Olive Boulevard as a new <br />carry-out restaurant be approved with the following corxiitions: <br /> <br />1. An exhaust system shall be installed or other means shall be taken to <br />prevent any food. preparation odors or cooking odors perceptible beyorxi <br />the property line. <br />2. Signage for the restaurant shall strictly comply with the provisions of <br />the University City Sign Code. Sign permits shall be applied for and ap- <br />proved and signage installed prior to occupancy. <br />3. A detailed site plan depicting a revised parking lot layout and appropri- <br />ate landscaping shall be submitted to the Director of Planning for his <br />review and approval prior to occupancy. Striping of the parking spaces <br />and landscaping shall be installed and maintained in accordance with the <br />approved plan. <br />4. Trash containers for patron use shall be available on the premises at all <br />times and the operator shall regularly police the site and the neighbor- <br />hood. adjacent to the restaurant to remove litter and debris. <br />5. Occupancy is limited to Ms. Sarah Harris doing business as Fish-n-SUch, a <br />carry-out restaurant. Operation of any other restaurant or operation by <br />a different proprietor will cause this permit to become null and void. <br /> <br />Mr. Prentiss Caradine, 7920 Glenside, representing Ms. Harris, came forwaro. <br />Mr. Schoomer asked about operating hours, and Mr. caradine said he believed <br />Ms. Harris wanted to be open for breakfast and to close about 11 p.m. In re- <br />sponse to Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Caradine said he could not confirm that 7 a.m. to <br />11 p. m would be satisfactory. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schuman pointed out the application stated an opening hour of 6 a.m. and <br />
