<br />~ fS(JdOICt I fJr <br /> <br /> <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri 63130, Phone: (314) 862-6767 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, among the major concerns of the City of University City has <br /> <br />always been the well-being and education of its children, and <br />WHEREAS, the economic and social health of the City of University <br />City is directly tied to that of its coterminous school district, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the application of the state Board of Education I s proposed <br />fo:rmula for distribution of monies would have a disastrous i.npact upon the <br />University City School District and its programs, and would do great hann to <br /> <br />the educational process, the schools, and directly to the City of University <br /> <br />City, <br /> <br />NCM, 'lHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of <br />the City of university City support the inclusion of a hold-hannless <br /> <br />provision to this fo:rmula and sufficient funding for the fo:rmula to support <br /> <br />excellence in education, and further, direct the City of University city <br />through its elected officials and officers to support the R.O.A.R. for <br /> <br />Schools Committee, the citizens Committee on School Finances, and the School <br /> <br />District of University city in their efforts to bring about a more equitable <br />distribution of state funding for education. <br /> <br />~ ' <br />~j-/J1 <br />- Janet Ma~ <br />Mayo <br /> <br />ATI'EST : <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />od-~ O. )~ <br />Dolores A.
