<br />SESSION 1582 <br /> <br />MINUl'ES OF '!HE UNIVERSITY CITY axJNCIL <br /> <br />December 14, 1992 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the As- <br />sembly Room of City Hall on Monday, December 14, 1992, Mayor Janet Majerus <br />presided am called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the <br />Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Byron R. Price* <br />Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. * <br />Mrs. Mal:y V. SChuman <br />Mr. Paul E. SChocmer <br />Mrs. Betty L. 'IhaTpson <br /> <br />*Mr. Price arrived at 7:59 p.m. am Mr. Adams arrived at 7:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Absent: eouncilmernber Robert G. Wagner. <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollerrlorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mrs. 'Ihornpson moved approval of the November 23, 1992, minutes as submitted. <br />Mrs. Schuman seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AProIN'IMENl' <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus moved the appoinbnent of Ms. Dee Joyner, 8136 Cornell Court, to <br />the Industrial Development Authority am Tax Increment Financing Connnission <br />for unexpired tenns errling August 27, 1993. Mr. SChoarner am Mrs. Schuman <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATHS OF OFFICE <br /> <br />The City Clerk administered the oath of office to the following citizens who <br />were recently appointed to various boards or commissions: susan Glassman- <br />Industrial Development Authority and Tax Increment Financing Connnission; Car- <br />rie Costantin - Traffic Connnission; Herbert Tobias - Park Connnission; Michael <br />Klein and Ben Strawder - Human Relations Canmission; am Rudolf Schwarz and <br />Stephen I.eet - Historic Preservation Canmission. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus thanked the new members, adding that the Council deperrls heavi- <br />ly on the advice am recommendations of the boards am commissions. She said <br />it was a special delight to have Ms. Glassman back since she served the City <br />so well as Deputy City Manager. <br /> <br />HIS'IDRICAL SOCIETY REPRESENTATIVE <br /> <br />Ms. Tirzah Berthoff, 7195 Washington, said the university city Historical So- <br />ciety has developed a cookl::xJok called "'Ihe Lion's Share" which is composed of <br />recipes from many area residents, am is available at the Public Library and <br />
