RESOLUTION RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, EXPRESSING THE INTENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTIONS TO ADOPT A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH LOCAL 2665 INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS REPRESENTING THE CITY'S FIREFIGHTERS. WHEREAS, p~oposals ~elating to economic Depa~tment employees have been p~esented to City by Local 2665, Inte~national Association of ~ep~esenting the City's Fi~efighte~s; and facto~s of Fi~e administ~ato~s Fi~e Fighte~s WHEREAS, p~oposals we~e p~esented on behalf of the City and afte~ p~olonged discussions ~ep~esentatives of Local 2665 and the City's negotiating committee have ag~eed on ce~tain issues ~elating to economic facto~s and ~educed such unde~standing to w~iting; and WHEREAS, Section 105.520 of such discussions the ~esults p~esented to the app~op~iate modification o~ ~ejection; and R.S. Mo. p~ovides upon completion shall be ~educed to w~iting and legislative body fo~ adoption, WHEREAS, membe~s of Local 2665, Inte~national Association of Fi~e Fighte~s ~ep~esenting the City's Fi~efighte~s, by membe~ship vote have ~atified the te~ms of the Memo~andum of Unde~standing extending th~ough the 30th day of June, 1993; and WHEREAS, the City's negotiating committee adoption of this Memo~andum of Unde~standing. ~ecommends NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY: That the Council he~eby adopts and autho~izes the City Manage~ to execute the attached Memo~andum of Unde~standing between the City of Unive~sity City, Missou~i, and Local 2665, Inte~national Association of Fi~e Fighte~s ~ep~esenting the City's Fi~efighte~s, pending such modifications in o~dinances as may be app~op~iate in the ci~cumstances.
