<br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, EXPRESSING THE INTENT <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTIONS TO <br />ADOPT A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH LOCAL <br />2665 INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS <br />REPRESENTING THE CITY'S FIREFIGHTERS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, proposals relating to economic factors of Fire <br />Department employees have been presented to City administrators <br />by Local 2665, International Association of Fire Fighters <br />representing the City's Firefighters; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, proposals were presented on behalf of the City and <br />after prolonged discussions representatives of Local 2665 and the <br />City's negotiating committee have agreed o~ certain issues <br />relating to economic factors and reduced such understanding to <br />writing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 105.520 <br />of such discussions the results <br />presented to the appropriate <br />modification or rejection; and <br /> <br />R.S. Mo. provides upon completion <br />shall be reduced to writing and <br />legislative body for adoption, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, members of Local 2665, International Association of <br />Fire Fighters representing the City's Firefighters, by membership <br />vote have ratified the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding <br />extending through the 30th day of June, 1993; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's negotiating committee <br />adoption of this Memorandum of Understanding. <br /> <br />recommends <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY: <br /> <br />That the Council hereby adopts and authorizes the City <br />Manager to execute the attached Memorandum of Understanding <br />between the City of University City, Missouri, and Local 2665, <br />International Association of Fire Fighters representing the <br />City's Firefighters, pending such modifications in ordinances as <br />may be appropriate in the circumstances. <br /> <br />PASSED this <br /> <br />6th <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />9:~in;; <br /> <br />YOR <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />~{/~ <br /> <br />CITY CLERK <br />
