SESSION 1573 MINUI'.ES OF '!HE UNIVERSITY CITY CXXJNCIL Jtme 15, 1992 At a regular meeting of the City ea.mcil of university City held in the As- sembly Roam of City Hall on Momay, Jtme 15, 1992, Mayor Janet Majerus pre- sided arxl called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: Mr. Byron R. Price Mr. Joseph. L. Adams, Jr. Mr. Robert G. Wagner Mrs. Mary V. Schuman Mr. PaulE.Schoaner Mrs. Betty L. 'Iharpson Also present was City Manager Frank Ollerrlorff. MINUI'.ES June 1. 1992 Mr. Adams said Article II, Section 9 of the University Olarter does not pro- vide for abstention, arxl he called attention to the last sentence of the sec- ond paragraph on Page 5 of the Jtme 1, 1992 minutes, which indicated Mr. Wag- ner abstained from voting. Mr. Wagner llDVed to delete that sentence arxl sub- stitute "'!he motion to deny carried by a vote of five to zero." Mrs. 'Ihorrp- son seconded the motion, arxl all voted Aye. Mr. Schoomer then llDVed approval of the June 1, 1992 minutes as amen:ied. Mrs. Schuman seconded the motion, which carried 1.U1animously. Mav 13. 1992 Mr. Schoamer llDVed to amen:i the previously adopted minutes of May 13, 1992, by adding the word "partially" prior to the word "restored" on Page 2, line 5 under 3510 Park Maintenance. Administration arxl Forestrv. Mr. Wagner second- ed the motion, which carried unanimously. APFOINIMENTS Mr. Price llDVed the appointment of Ms. Lita Pener-COllins, 7029 Etzel, to the Library Board for a tenn expiring Jtme 30, 1995. Mrs. 'Ihaupson secoooed the ,motion, which carried 1.U1animously. Mr. Adams llDVed that Mr. 'Ihorras M. Cobb, 797 Yale, be appointed to the Muni- cipal Commission on Arts arxl Letters for an unexpired tenn errling January 2, 1996. Mr. Price secoooed the motion, which carried unanimously. INI'ROI:UCI'ION OF NEW ASSISTANT 'ID CITY MANAc.:F.R Mayor Majerus introduced Ms. KiInberley Trombly, who was recently appointed as the city Manager's Assistant. Ms. Trombly said she was delighted to be here. She fonnerly worked for the City of West Palm Beach, Florida in several capa- cities, arxl in Washington, D. C. Mayor Majerus wannly welcomed Ms. Trombly.
