<br />SESSION 1572 <br /> <br />MINUI'ES OF 'mE UNIVERSITY CITY a:::uNCIL <br /> <br />June 1, 1992 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the As- <br />sembly Room of city Hall on Morrlay, June 1, 1992, Mayor Janet Majerus presid- <br />ed am called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, <br />the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Byron R. Price <br />Mr. JCJSeIil L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. 'Ihanpson <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollerrlorff. <br /> <br />MINUI'ES <br /> <br />Mav 13. 1992 <br />Mr. Wagner m::wed that the minutes of the May 13, 1992, budget study meeting <br />be approved as submitted. Mr. Price secomed the notion, am all voted Aye. <br /> <br />Mav 18. 1992 <br />Mr. Schoomer m::wed approval of the minutes of the regular meeting of May 18, <br />1992, an::l Mr. Wagner secomed the lrotion. All voted Aye except Mayor Majer- <br />us, who abstained because she was not present at that meeting. <br /> <br />LIAISON ASSIGNMENTS FOR 1992-94 <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus announced that 1992-94 councilmember liaison assigrnnents to the <br />City's boards an::l cormnissions are as follows: Pension--Mr. Schoomer; Human <br />Relations--Mrs. 'Ihompson; Library-Mr. Price; Park-Mr. Schoomer; CAIDP--Mrs. <br />Schuman; Plan--Mrs. Schuman; Historic Preservation-Mr. Wagner; Arts an::l Let- <br />ters--Mr. Adams; am Traffic-Mr. Adams. Some double assigrnnents were neces- <br />sary because there are lrore boards an::l cormnissions than cormci1members. She <br />stressed the ilrportance of liaison ser.vice, adding that regular atteOOance is <br />vital. If unable to atten:l a meeting, the liaison should notify the cormnis- <br />sion chairman, an::l also the Mayor if at all possible. <br /> <br />DISTINGUISHED VISI'IDR <br /> <br />Mr. Adams introduced Rev. Bulus Hassan of Kane, Nigeria, who is atten:ling his <br />first municipal meeting in the United states. 'Ihere was a round of applause. <br /> <br />CITY lQ~' S REroRl'S <br /> <br />CONSEN!'
