<br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a regular election was held in the City of University City, <br />Missouri on Tuesday, April 7, 1992, to elect a eounci1Ioomber from the First, <br />Second, and 'lhird Wards for a four-year te:nn each, and <br />WHEREAS, said election was conducted according to the laws of the <br />state of Missouri, the City Clarter and Ordinances of the City of University <br />City, and the rules and regulations promulgated by the Board of Election <br />conunissioners of st. Iouis County, and <br />WHEREAS, the following were candidates for the respective office as <br /> <br />shown: <br /> <br />Mary V. Schuman eounci1Ioomber, First Ward <br />Joseph L. Adams, Jr. eounci1Ioomber, Second Ward <br />Betty L. 'IhOIl"pSOn eounci1Ioomber, '1hird Ward <br />AND WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IX, section 71 of the City Clarter, <br />the election returns shall be canvassed by the City eouncil at a meeting not <br />later than forty-eight (48) hours after their receipt by the City Clerk, and <br />the candidates receiving the highest number of votes for each office be <br />declared elected, <br />NCM, THEREFORE, pursuant to the laws of the state of Missouri, the <br />City Charter, and the Ordinances of the City of university City, and the <br />rules and regulations promulgated by the Board of Election Commissioners of <br />st. IDuis County, the City eouncil of University City, at a meeting held on <br />April 20, 1992, at 7:30 p.m., upon the certification of the returns by the <br />Board of Election Carmnissioners of st. IDuis County from the thirty-eight <br />precincts in the City of University City, and upon certification by the City <br />Clerk of the results of said election held Tuesday, April 7, 1992, in the <br />City of University City, and as canvassed by the Council of said returns of <br />
