The roll call vote was as <br />follows: AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Ms. Brungardt, Ms. Brot, Ms. Welsch, Mr. Sharpe and <br />Mayor Adams; NAYS: Mr. Wagner. The motion passed six to one and Bill 8745 became <br />Ordinance number 6524. <br /> <br />2. BILL NO. 8755 – AMENDING CHAP 34-22 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />ZONING DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED, THEREBY ESTABLISHING A NEW ZONING <br />MAP SO AS TO CHANGE THE CLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY AT 6668 <br />VERNON FROM “IC” INDUSTRIAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO “PD-R” <br />PLANNED DEVELOPMENT RESIDENTIAL; AND ESTABLISHING PERMITTED <br />LAND USES AND DEVELOPMENTS HEREIN; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE <br />AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br /> The Bill was given its second reading <br /> The Bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt moved adoption and Ms. Welsch seconded. BILL NO. 8756 – APPROVING A FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAT OF A TRACT OF <br />LAND TO BE KNOWN AS “501 NORTH JACKSON SUBDIVISION’ AND LOCATED <br />AT 501 JACKSON. <br /> <br />Eric Schmitt, 168 North Meramec, Suite 400, Clayton, Missouri 63105, representing <br />Miracle Design, came to speak about residents’ concerns relating to the development of <br />501 North Jackson. The subdivision plat meeting the minimum requirements was <br />submitted. He brought a letter from the company’s landscape architect describing the <br />process to be undertaken. The City Arborist expressed concern about two trees. <br />Miracle Design has noted its intention to replant any trees removed. He then mentioned <br />two other properties, one at 9565 Old Bonhomme Road and one at Chesterfield Oaks <br />where Miracle Design has done similar work, as the examples requested by Mr. <br />Ollendorff. Mr. Holtzman, the developer, had the intention of distributing the revised <br />landscaping plan on Sunday to elicit comments from residents, but the design was not <br />ready until today. He reaffirmed Miracle Design’s commitment to obtaining resident <br />comment on the design of these proposed buildings. Construction plans are not drawn <br />until a plat is approved, and that approval is what is sought tonight. He reiterated, “that <br />is exactly what we plan to do and you can put it in the minutes and hold us to it because <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />
