<br /> <br />Session 1961 <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 18, 2005 <br /> <br />nd <br />At a special session of the City Council of University City held in the 2 floor conference <br />room, on Monday, April 18, 2005, Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to order at <br />5:30 P.M. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of Council were present: <br /> <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt (5:45 p.m.) <br /> Ms. Francine Brungardt <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Ms. Shelley Welsch <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was the Assistant City Manager, Thomas Moton, Jr. <br /> <br />Agenda Item #1 – Site Plan Review – Advanced Auto Parts – 6901 Olive: <br /> <br />Mr. Moton recommends approval of a site plan for a new auto parts retail building <br />subject to conditions that construction comply with these approved plans especially as <br />to height and mass, provision of appropriate trash and refuse containers properly <br />screened and collected during daytime hours, submission of an improved landscaping <br />plan, lighting complying with city codes, drainage and grading plans approved by MSD <br />and Public Works, construction traffic and parking control plans, screening of all rooftop <br />mechanical equipment, ingress and egress curb cuts subject to approval by University <br />City and MoDOT, and installation of improvements conforming to the Olive Street <br />Enhancement program including street lighting, sidewalks, walls and tree grates. This <br />will be a very nice addition to the Olive Link neighborhood if completed in accordance <br />with these plans and the above conditions. <br /> <br />Mr. Moton added that this applicant has done well in communicating with the neighbors <br />regarding this project. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch thought she had seen something in her packet that noted that this project <br />had been delayed. Mr. Moton said she was correct, yet on Thursday, they received <br />some last minute information that would allow this to move forward. Mr. Ollendorff <br />stressed that this was important to the developer to move this forward as quickly as <br />possible and had informed Council that this may be brought forward at a special <br />nd <br />meeting, so it would not have to wait until the 2 of May to be approved. Mr. Moton had <br />thought that the Council was eager to get this moving as well. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch didn’t believe the Council was particularly eager about this particular issue, <br />but was glad to assist the developer move it forward. She was more interested in <br />expediting the Farmer’s Market issue. <br /> <br />
