Session 1713, Minutes <br />January 5, 1998 <br /> <br />LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF OAKBROOK LANE FROM DELMAR BOULEVARD TO <br />OAKBROOK COURT. <br /> <br /> The bill was assigned No. 8364 and was given its first reading. <br /> <br />A bill was introduced by Mayor Adams and the entire City Council, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO NUISANCES, BY ENACTING THEREIN A NEW <br />SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 22-26. PLACES USED FOR THE <br />COMMISSION OF CRIMES OR ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS;" AND PROVIDING A <br />PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was assigned No. 8365 and was given its first reading. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman wanted to make certain that City Administration, in connection with <br />the use tax ordinance that was just passed, makes a special effort in communicating <br />with the public in advising them as to the facts regarding the use tax. Education, in <br />this regard, should alleviate any apprehension to the tax. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe and the rest of City Council wished Mayor Adams a marvelous birthday. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams said not to forget Martin Luther King day coming up on January 19th <br />and that City Hall would be closed. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams announced that the next regular meeting for the City Council would <br />be held on January 26th, same time and place. The Mayor adjourned the meeting at <br />7:50 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
