<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Session 1960 <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />April 11, 2005 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers, <br />on Monday, April 11, 2005, Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30 <br />P.M. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of Council were present: <br /> <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br /> Ms. Francine Brungardt <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Ms. Shelley Welsch <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was the City Manager, Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Ms. Brot moved to take the March 7, 2005 study session minutes off of the table. Ms. <br />Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ms. Brot moved to approve the March 7, 2005 study session minutes. Mr. Wagner <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sharpe moved approval of the minutes of a Special Session held on <br />Monday, March 28, 2005, and Ms. Brungardt seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sharpe moved approval of the minutes for the Regular Meeting held on <br />March 28, 2005 and Ms. Welsch seconded. The motion was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION – To Establish a Retiree Health Savings Plan <br /> <br />Ms. Brot moved to adopt a Resolution to establish a retiree health savings plan for <br />employees rendering valuable services as it serves the interests of the employer by <br />enabling it to provide reasonable security regarding such employees’ health needs <br />during retirement, by providing increased flexibility in its personnel management <br />system, and by assisting in the attraction and retention of competent personnel, but “. . . <br />with the caveat that we need to be sure that the employees understand that it is pre- <br />taxed and so what is taken out will not apply towards Social Security.” Mayor Adams <br />said, “Correct. That is correct.” Ms. Welsch seconded and the Resolution passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />
