Session 1726, Minutes <br />June 29, 1998 <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned Number 8394. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF BID FOR UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT: <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval of the low bid of $443,503.75 (from agenda item #6) <br />from Southard Construction Company. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved that the Council adjourn to Executive Session to discuss real estate <br />and personnel issues at 8:35 p.m. in the Mayor's office on the second floor of City Hall. <br />Mr. Schoomer seconded motion. AYES: Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. <br />Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer reminded everyone about the University City Band Concert being held <br />tomorrow night and the following six Tuesday nights. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams reminded everyone that the Starlight Concert Series in the Park start July <br />6th. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams announced the next regular meeting for the City Council would be on <br />July 13t" , same time and place.
