<br />Regular meeting <br />May 23, 2005 <br /> <br />received. These products include various types of sands and cements for street, park <br />and golf course maintenance projects. Invitations to Bid were sent to fourteen possible <br />sources with the following responses: <br /> <br />Company Name Bid Price <br />St. Charles Sand........................... $2,528.00 (5 No Bid) <br />Raineri........................................... $14,304.00 (1 No Bid) <br />Johnny Mac's ................................ $ 3,000.00 (7 No Bid) <br /> <br />The breakdown is as follows $3,000.00 to Johnny Mac's; $2,528.00 to St. Charles <br />Sand, and $10,634.00 to Raineri Building Materials for a total cost of $16,162. <br /> <br />6) Heman Tennis Court Chanqe Order <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended accepting the proposal from our tennis court prime <br />contractor Trans Texas Tennis, Inc. in the amount of $26,743.50 to add four (4) <br />backboards, privacy fence slats, 11' fence height, and ADA concrete ramp. All items <br />are within the grant budget. <br /> <br />7) Centennial Commons in Heman Park Telephone and Data Wirinq <br /> <br />Bids have been received to install phone and data wiring in the new Heman Park <br />complex as follows: <br /> <br />CBC........................ .$23,200.00 <br />S BC. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . $26, 992.00 <br /> <br />The City Manager recommended accepting the proposal from CBC in the amount of <br />$23,200 subject to confirmation that the work will be accomplished within thirty (30) <br />days of notice of award. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the Consent Calendar and Mr. Sharpe seconded, and <br />the motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />8) Three-Meter Divinq Board Platform Ladder (removed for discussion) <br /> <br />Eleven companies were contacted for proposals to furnish and install a platform type <br />ladder meeting our insurance pool safety requirements which are higher than industry <br />standards. This is a custom built platform ladder and only one company was able to <br />meet this need. After the bid deadline we obtained a quote from Rickio, Inc., <br />Maplewood's contractor, which is several thousand dollars higher. The City Manager <br />recommended accepting the bid by Westport Pools in the amount of $16,801. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch moved approval and Ms. Colquitt seconded. <br />Page 3 <br />
