Session 1976
MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL

June 28, 2005

At a special session of the City Council of University City held in the fifth floor Council
Chambers located at 6801 Delmar Boulevard on Tuesday, June 28, 2005, Mayor
Joseph Adams called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the
following members of Council were present:

Ms. Francine Brungardt
Mr. Robert Wagner
Ms. Stefany Brot
Ms. Shelley Welsch
Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr.

Ms. Colquitt was excused. Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff.

Public Hearing – Redevelopment Plan for 6855-6857 Plymouth:

Mr. Ollendorff said that this is the time and place for a public hearing to hear public
comments regarding a redevelopment plan for 6855-6857 Plymouth.

The attorney representing the plan explained that a bill would need to be passed by
Council before the plan could go into effect, but this public hearing needed to take place
prior to the bill being introduced. It was noted that the bill was not listed on the agenda
for this meeting, so it was determined that another special meeting of the Council would
th
take place on July 11 to hold the first reading of the bill. The second and third readings
th
could then be held at the regular meeting of July 18.

Mayor Adams called the public hearing opened at 4:32 p.m. and immediately closed it
for there were no requests to speak.

Executive Session:

The Mayor requested to go into a published executive session to discuss personnel
th
issues per RSMo 610.021 (3) in the 4 floor conference room. Mr. Sharpe moved to go
into Executive Session. Ms. Welsch seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as
follows: AYES: Ms. Brungardt, Mr. Wagner, Ms. Brot, Ms. Welsch, Mr. Sharpe and
Mayor Adams.
