MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL April 20, 2009 At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of the City Hall, on Monday, April 20, 2009, Mayor Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were present: Mr. Byron Price Ms. Lynn Ricci Mr. Robert Wagner Mr. Terry Crow Mr. Michael Glickert Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. Also in attendance were City Manager Julie Feier and City Attorney John Mulligan. C. PROCLAMATION D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. April 06, 2009, Study Session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. Wagner, and were unanimously approved. 2. April 06, 2009, Regular Session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. Sharpe and were approved unanimously. E. APPOINTMENTS 1. Rick Simoncelli was appointed to the CALOP Commission by Mr. Crow, seconded by Mr. Wagner and was approved unanimously. 2. Victor A. Pichon was appointed to the Civil Service Commission by Mr. Sharpe, seconded by Mr. Glickert and was approved unanimously. F. SWEARING IN 1. Beverly Brandt was sworn in to the CALOP Commission in the City Clerk’s office. G. PUBLIC HEARINGS H. CONSENT AGENDA I. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT 1. Request for approval of curb and sidewalk repair to be awarded to St. Louis Concrete for the low bid of $101,586. Mr. Price moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Wagner and was approved unanimously. Ms. Ricci verified that this contract was for a period of three years. 2. Request for approval of the JAG Grant for Police Equipment. Mr. Price moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Sharpe and was approved unanimously. Mr. Crow asked about the turn-around time for approval. Ms. Feier stated it was approximately a sixty day turn around time. Mr. Glickert asked about the request for an auto and Ms. Feier explained that it would be used by the parking control attendants.
