<br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />April 20, 2009 <br /> <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of the <br />City Hall, on Monday, April 20, 2009, Mayor Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30 <br />p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were City Manager Julie Feier and City Attorney John Mulligan. <br /> <br />C. PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. April 06, 2009, Study Session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. Wagner, <br />and were unanimously approved. <br />2. April 06, 2009, Regular Session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. Sharpe <br />and were approved unanimously. <br /> <br />E. APPOINTMENTS <br />1. Rick Simoncelli was appointed to the CALOP Commission by Mr. Crow, <br /> seconded by Mr. Wagner and was approved unanimously. <br />2. Victor A. Pichon was appointed to the Civil Service Commission by Mr. Sharpe, <br /> seconded by Mr. Glickert and was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />F. SWEARING IN <br />1. Beverly Brandt was sworn in to the CALOP Commission in the City Clerk’s office. <br /> <br />G. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br /> <br />H. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />I. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br />1. Request for approval of curb and sidewalk repair to be awarded to St. Louis <br />Concrete for the low bid of $101,586. Mr. Price moved for approval, seconded <br />by Mr. Wagner and was approved unanimously. Ms. Ricci verified that this <br />contract was for a period of three years. <br /> <br />2. Request for approval of the JAG Grant for Police Equipment. Mr. Price moved <br />for approval, seconded by Mr. Sharpe and was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow asked about the turn-around time for approval. Ms. Feier stated it was <br />approximately a sixty day turn around time. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert asked about the request for an auto and Ms. Feier explained that it <br />would be used by the parking control attendants. <br /> <br />
