Regular meeting <br />July 18, 2005 <br /> <br />? <br /> Westgate between Delmar and alley on Friday, September 30, from 6:00 a.m. <br />until Saturday, October 1 at 11:59 p.m. <br /> <br />#2 – Centennial Commons in Heman Park Furniture Bids <br /> <br />Furniture and equipment of various kinds for the new Centennial Commons area. <br />Furniture and equipment are for reception area, concession area, conference <br />room and five workstations. Four bids were sent out and award went to <br />Corporate Express with bid for $40,151.60 <br /> <br />#3 – 7733 Olive Rezoning Pubic Hearing <br /> <br />The seafood store on Olive is the business at the listed address. Requesting a public <br />hearing on the rezoning of property from Single Family, (SF) to General Commercial, <br />(GC) so as to allow construction of an addition to Seafood City Market. <br /> <br />#4 – Fairway Mower <br /> <br />Purchase of a Fairway mower for the Golf Course. Six companies placed a bid <br />with the award going to Erb Turf Equipment for $34,096.00. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Mr. Wagner to approve the Consent Calendar. Mr. Sharpe <br />seconded the motion. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> #5. – Construction of Concrete Cart Paths – Ruth Park <br /> <br />Budgeted item and the bids were close to the budgeted amount. The city <br />typically spends about $50,000 on capital at Ruth Park. This year the money was <br />spent on the Fairway mower that was just approved in place of the concrete cart <br />paths. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Ms. Brungardt to put this on next month’s agenda. Ms. Brot <br />seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Ms. Brot recalled that while in the budget discussion, it was said that a very small <br />amount of path could be done by money allocated. Ms. Brot recommended <br />establishing a not-for-profit committee that could raise additional money for all of <br />University City parks. Ms. Brot then wanted to know how large of an area would <br />the money allocated actually cover. Mr. Ollendorff said that there would be <br />enough money to cover the first hole and most of the second hole, which would <br />be approximately 15%. Mr. Ollendorff asked Mr. Wagner if he concurred. Mr. <br />Wagner concurred. <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />
