He asked that the record reflect his
pleasure in working with Ms. Miller, adding that she has been professional and always helpful. He also
thanked her for her wise counsel. Ms. Miller responded that she felt fortunate to have worked with such
a wonderful Council, and particularly with Mayor Adams, who is a caring and considerate person, the
epitome of what a mayor should be. She said she would miss them all. There was a round of applause.
Mr. Schoomer also expressed his thanks to Ms. Miller for her years of service, her professionalism and
hard work. Mr. Lieberman said Council may be facing a problem because he considered Ms. Miller
irreplaceable. Mrs. Thompson voiced the same sentiments as Mayor Adams, adding that Ms. Miller has
always demonstrated a professional attitude and a cooperative spirit, and she will be missed.
