Mayor Adams asked the City Clerk for a listing of her duties and responsibilities she
is doing and approximately how much time she spends on them to see if there are
duties outside of what the Council as a body has directed. He asked who has given
the directions as he gets the sense the City Clerk is doing things outside of the City
Clerk’s scope of work.

Mayor Adams began to explain his position on contacting the Attorney General. Ms.
Ricci objected with a Point of Order.

Mr. Price asked why there was not a Council liaison to the Civil Service Board for
members to contact first before going to Citizen’s comments. He felt it was
inappropriate to be publicly discussing information from a single individual on the
commission and he did not know if it is from the whole board or not. The questions
can then come through the Council liaison.

Mayor Adams asked to implement section 50 of the Charter. Mayor Adams stated
he is making a motion to use Section 50 of the Charter. There was no further action.

Other microphones were not turned on so remaining discussion was not recorded. It
was ended with continued discussion to be had at another meeting when all

Councilmembers could be present.

Mayor Adams adjourned the meeting at 10:15 p.m.

Joyce Pumm,
City Clerk
