Session 1682, Minutes
November 4, 1996

Page 5

The bill was assigned No. 8304 and given its first reading.

COUNCILMEMBER COMMENTS

Mr. Schoomer reminded all to vote tomorrow.

Mr. Munkel thanked Mr. Ollendorffand his staff for their hard work in connection with President Clin-
ton's recent visit to University City, especially in view of very short notice. He said the public relations
aspect of their efforts was extremely important as news of this visit was broadcast throughout the
country. Mayor Adams concurred completely, adding that residents also were very patient in the face
of street closings and other inconveniences. Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff said the visit
cost the City several thousand dollars, however, the campaign has reimbursed those costs.

Mayor Adams said the School Board will be dealing with the Natatorium report; when they are finished,
the Council will discuss it with regard to next year's budget.

ADJOURNMENT

Mayor Adams adjourned the meeting at 7:47 p.m.

Dolores A. Miller
City Clerk
