SESSION 1681 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> October 21, 1996 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber of City Hall on <br />Monday, October 21, 1996, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addi- <br />tion to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Hardy Ware <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />September 30, 1996 - Regular Meeting <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the September 30, 1996, minutes as submitted. Mr. Schoomer seconded <br />the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />October 7, 1996 - Special Meeting <br />Mr. Schoomer moved adoption of the October 7, 1996, minutes as submitted. Mr. Wagner seconded <br />the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Adams moved the appointment of Paramedic Firefighter Craig Dexter to the Board of Trustees <br />of the Police and Firemen's Retirement Fund. Mr. Schoomer seconded, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />OATHS OF OFFICE <br /> <br />Mr. Mike Giger, Ms. Teresa Kragness, and Mr. Dennis Lutsky, all recently named to the Parkview Gar- <br />dens Special Business District Advisory Commission, were given the oath of office by the City Clerk. <br />Mayor Adams thanked the new appointees for their willingness to serve on this important commission <br />and said he knew they would do excellent work. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />Mayor Adams said an item on the November 5, 1996, ballot would reauthorize a 1/10 cent sales tax <br /> <br /> <br />
