Session 1681, Minutes October 21, 1996 Page 10 bill amends some housekeeping issues in Exhibit A of Ordinance No. 6067, which is the document that transfers the cable television franchise from Continental Cablevision to TCI Cable Partners. Mr. Liebet- man asked several questions about operation, and Mr. Ollendorff said the time to discuss those issues is when a franchise is being negotiated with TCI Cable Partners. Mr. Berra said an ordinance similar to the one being discussed was recently adopted by several other municipalities. He said he appreciated the fine relationship the City has had with Continental and that the constituents have been very kind over the years. Mr. Wagner said if TCI is as good as Continental has been, the City will be overjoyed. Bill No. 8295 was given its third reading. Mr. Wagner moved adoption. Mr. Schoomer seconded. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Schoomer, Thompson, Ware, Munkel, Wagner, Lieberman, and Mayor Adams. NAYS: None. Bill No. 8295 became Ordinance No. 6077. BILL NO. 8296 - AMENDING CHAPTER 34 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING BY REPEALING SECTION 34-38.4 AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 34-38.4. CONDITIONAL USES," BY ADDING CHILD DAY CARE CEN- TER OR DAY NURSERY. Bill No. 8296 was given its second reading. Bill No. 8296 was given its third reading. Mr. Schoomer moved adoption. Mrs. Thompson seconded. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Thompson, Ware, Munkel, Wagner, Lieberman, Schoomer, and Mayor Adams. NAYS: None. Bill No. 8296 became Ordinance No. 6078. BILL NO. 8297 - AMENDING CHAPTER 34 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY AT OR NEAR 514 AND 518 NORTH AND SOUTH ROAD FROM "SR" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO "PD" PLANNED DEVELOP- MENT. AS SET FORTH IN SECTION 34-9 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY ZONING CODE. Bill No. 8297 was given its second reading. Mr. John Paterson, 511 N. Central, thanked Mr. Ollendorff and Mr. Wagner for visiting his neighbor- hood to talk with some of the neighbors about the rezoning and site plan for two apartment buildings behind his home. He said a protest petition was submitted September 30, 1996, and he wished to go on record as being in opposition to the rezoning and site plan approval. Mayor Adams said the petition was given to the City Attorney, and someone in this area was contacted about its disposition. Bill No. 8297 was given its third reading. Mr. Ware moved adoption.
