(minority owned) <br />Midwest Mudjacking & Construction <br />Engineer's estimate <br /> <br />$55,537.50 <br />$70,088.00 <br />$49,000.00 <br /> <br />Funding for this project is from the Bond Issue. It was recommended that the award go to Williams <br />Concrete Co., Inc. for their low bid of $55,537.50. <br /> <br />Recreation Center Furniture (#8). Bids on purchasing 16 upholstered seats and bases, four planters, two <br />fiberglass tables, three round tables with bases, and 12 stacked chairs for the recreation center were re- <br />ceived as follows: <br /> <br />National Chair and Furniture <br />Interior Unlimited, Inc. <br />B.T. Office Products <br /> <br />$8,772.31 <br />$8,772.40 <br />$9,729.52 <br /> <br />Acceptance of the Interior Unlimited, Inc. bid of $8,772.40 was recommended, as National Chair and <br />Furniture was unable to certify meeting specifications for the seats unless layout drawings at City ex- <br />pense were furnished. <br /> <br />Street Sweepers Purchase (#9). Invitations to bid on two street sweepers, including trade-in of 1985 <br />and 1989 machines, were sent to three area dealers, with the following response: <br /> <br />Key Equipment <br />Armor Truck Sales (Bid #2) <br /> <br />Unit Trade In Total <br />$94,900 ($50,000) $139,800 <br />$96,500 ($40,000) $153,000 <br /> <br />Key Equipment also offers the following useful options: <br /> 2 spring guide wheel struts $2,500 <br /> 2 hydraulic broom suspensions with indicators $1,460 <br /> 2 auto engine shut downs $ 500 <br /> <br />It was recommended that the two sweepers with options be purchased from Key Equipment for a total <br />bid of $144,260. <br /> <br />Surface Leveler and Restorer (#10). Bids on this equipment were received as follows: <br /> <br />B.S.N. Sports <br />Gordon Bannerman Limited <br /> <br />$3,698.52 <br />$6,480.00 <br /> <br />Acceptance of Gordon Bannerman's bid of $6,480 is recommended as the bid from B.S.N. Sports does <br />not meet the Park Division's needs. <br /> <br /> <br />
