It was recommended that the award go to Williams Concrete Co., Inc. for their low bid of $55,537.50. Recreation Center Furniture (#8). Bids on purchasing 16 upholstered seats and bases, four planters, two fiberglass tables, three round tables with bases, and 12 stacked chairs for the recreation center were re- ceived as follows: National Chair and Furniture Interior Unlimited, Inc. B.T. Office Products $8,772.31 $8,772.40 $9,729.52 Acceptance of the Interior Unlimited, Inc. bid of $8,772.40 was recommended, as National Chair and Furniture was unable to certify meeting specifications for the seats unless layout drawings at City ex- pense were furnished. Street Sweepers Purchase (#9). Invitations to bid on two street sweepers, including trade-in of 1985 and 1989 machines, were sent to three area dealers, with the following response: Key Equipment Armor Truck Sales (Bid #2) Unit Trade In Total $94,900 ($50,000) $139,800 $96,500 ($40,000) $153,000 Key Equipment also offers the following useful options: 2 spring guide wheel struts $2,500 2 hydraulic broom suspensions with indicators $1,460 2 auto engine shut downs $ 500 It was recommended that the two sweepers with options be purchased from Key Equipment for a total bid of $144,260. Surface Leveler and Restorer (#10). Bids on this equipment were received as follows: B.S.N. Sports Gordon Bannerman Limited $3,698.52 $6,480.00 Acceptance of Gordon Bannerman's bid of $6,480 is recommended as the bid from B.S.N. Sports does not meet the Park Division's needs.
