SESSION 1676 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> September 3, 1996 <br /> <br />A special meeting of the City Council of University City was held in Room 6 of City Hall on Tuesday, <br />September 3, 1996. Notice of the meeting was posted on Friday, August 30, 1996. Mayor Joseph L. <br />Adams presided and called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. The following members of the Council <br />were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Hardy Ware <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Also present were City Manager Frank Ollendorff and Deputy City Manager Kimberley Trombly. <br /> <br />PICNIC LIOUOR LICENSES - COCA, 524 TRINITY <br /> <br />The City Manager recommended approval of picnic licenses to serve wine and beer at special events to <br />be held at the Center of Contemporary Arts (COCA) on the following dates: September 13 and 14, Oc- <br />tober 19, and November 16, 1996; February 28, March 1 and 8, April 25 and 26, and June 20 and 21, <br />1997. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mrs. Thompson seconded, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />SERVICE COMPLEX ADDITION <br /> <br />The City Manager said bids for an addition to the Central Garage complex were received as follows: <br /> <br />Mosley Construction, Inc.* <br />Halamicek Bros., Inc. ** <br />John Kalicak Construction, Inc. *** <br />Hankins Construction*** <br />Engineer's estimate is $150,000 to $200,000 <br /> <br />$229,000 <br />$233,899 <br />$255,000 <br />$256,000 <br /> <br /> * 100% owned by a minority person--Kern G. Mosley, president. <br /> **Bid was $228,899 plus $5,000 for required survey of existing building condition. <br />***Includes items costing $16,000-$20,000 which have been deleted. <br /> <br />Funding for this project is from general revenue. It was recommended that the award be made to Mosley <br /> <br /> <br />
